The treatment does not instantly kill off all the Bed Bugs anywhere and everywhere in the treated structure. It will take up to 5 weeks for the Bed Bugs to gradually die off. It is so because Bed Bugs are affected only when they come into contact with the treated surfaces. And as they do not feed on daily basis, it may take a few weeks for all of them to be eliminated. During this period it is expected to see live Bed Bugs. They will die in a few hours after coming in contact with the treated surfaces.
How to Handle Sanitation of Clothing and Bedding?
Typically Bed Bugs do not nest in pillow cases, comforters, blankets and sheets, etc. That does not mean that they can not be found walking on these things.
The articles that are to be sanitized and cleaned by the client may be too many and too much to be handled at once. This task can be broken up into smaller segments and prioritized by putting articles, not needed in near future, in large bags and sealed. Objects for immediate use can be sanitized on priority.
As needed the articles can be cleaned or washed and used on as needed basis. Please, treat fabrics according to manufacturer’s directions in your sanitizing efforts.
Articles of immediate use may be warm washed and heat-dried or dry-cleaned as directed by the manufacturer, to get rid of bed bugs and their eggs.
